18- About Compulsion

 

As Allen walks past an Sex Shop the cord yanks him back and forces him to look into the window. Almost embarrassed by this compulsion, he turns and pulls against the cord to keep walking. 

As he walks on, the cord whips against the door of the Sex Shop. Slowly it creeps into the crack of door seam. Even though Allen decided to resist the cord in entering the shop with his mind, in reality the choice to enter was made already when he got hooked by the cord. 

Have you ever found yourself doing things against what you decided you would? 

Why does it happen that we loose control? 

If we have no real ability to decide once we're hooked on something, When was the decision really made?

Were you aware of the consequences back then? In the same way, are you aware of what this could lead to now?
